Self-Organization, 2025

Custom Software, Monitor, 4 Button Interface

There are no leaders. No plan. Just particles and rules.

Self Organization simulates a complex system built from simple interactions: 4 colors of particles—Red, Green, Blue, Yellow—each assigned basic behaviors of attraction and repulsion. As they interact, patterns emerge: swarms, clusters, voids, orbitals.

What you see is not animated—it’s emergent. Each form is self-generated from the bottom up, shaped only by proximity and relationship.

Participants can reshape the rules or reset the system at any time. A single keypress shifts the universe’s logic, revealing how structure forms not from design, but from dynamics.

In a time of top-down control, Self Organization asks:

What happens when power is distributed?

And can complexity arise without command?
